SingWest 101

SingWest was formed in 2004 by Andrew Head and Andrew Houston. The choir’s objective is to provide the opportunity for people to celebrate the joy of music by performing exciting and challenging songs for the wider community while developing a distinctive sound.

Under the musical direction of Andrew Houston, SingWest has performed at numerous events including a tour of Tasmania, the Swiss Italian Festa (Daylesford), Carols by Candlelight events, Deakin Edge at Federation Square, community festivals including Australia Day celebrations and ANZAC services and other community events.

SingWest also ran community choral festivals that brought together numerous community choirs to perform in Williamstown. Funds raised were donated to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (2013) and to Out Doors Inc. (2014).

SingWest is a non-auditioned community choir. They rehearse on Monday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the Holy Trinity Church, Nelson Place, Williamstown.
